Clarification Factoids:
Over 300,000 children have arthritis. There is currently
no cure for arthritis but doctors are making great strides
towards ending the disease. People have reported better
joint health and less pain with altered diets (vegetarian, low
acid) but there is no evidence to support this. Although any
diet that reduces your weight to a healthy level and reduces
excess weight on your joints is a good idea. Osteoarthritis can
be more severe with age but it is often brought on by trauma and
the root cause is an autoimmune reaction in the body is caused
microscopic changes in the joint cartilage.
The bottom line is once you are diagnosed with arthritis, no
matter what your age, you have to forever make lifestyle changes
and learn pain management techniques. |
